"Sharing is in our nature!"
The Generous Hunters (Chasseurs généreux) season is officially launched!
The Generous Hunters program is back for the eight year to help drive out hunger in Quebec. Bear, moose and deer hunters are invited to share their harvest with people in need, whether it be with a few pounds or a whole animal. Thanks to certified Generous Hunters and the Quebec Food Bank network, meat donations are distributed to those who are hungry. Last year, an average, 9 250 pounds of meat are collected, representing some 57 800 servings.
Being generous takes planning! Before your hunting trip, find your certified butcher here: https://fedecp.com/chasseursgenereux/bouchers-certifies/
All game donations collected are redistributed in your locality through the network of Food Banks of Quebec (Banques Alimentaires du Québec).
