OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
“Safari Pronature 2027 with Peter MacLeod”
Important notice. The Contest consists of two stages: a maximum of one finalist is randomly selected for each participating retailer, after which one grand prize winner is randomly selected from among all confirmed finalists. The same person may not be a finalist more than once.
1. Sponsor and Contest Parties
The “Safari Pronature 2027 with Peter MacLeod” contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by PRONATURE INC., whose head office is located at 1778 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard, Suite 200, Québec, Québec G1N 3Y8 (“Pronature” or the “Sponsor”).
The participating retailers, whether independent, affiliated with or shareholders of Pronature, the prize supplier, the travel supplier, Majeje Africa Safaris, and the agencies and individuals involved in the design, administration or execution of the Contest are collectively referred to as the “Contest Parties.” The draws are administered centrally by Pronature; no retailer selects its finalist at its discretion.
2. Contest Period
The Contest begins on September 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. and ends on November 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received and recorded during this period.
3. Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals who, at the time of entry and until the winner is confirmed:
· legally reside in Québec, Ontario or New Brunswick;
· have reached the age of majority in their respective province of residence; and
· are members in good standing of the Pronature Rewards Program and hold an active account (the “Pronature Account”). Membership in the program and creation of a Pronature Account are free.
The following are not eligible:
· the owners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents of any Contest Party, including Pronature;
· individuals directly involved in the design or administration of the Contest, the draws or the provision of the prize; and
· the immediate family members of such individuals and any persons domiciled with them, whether related or not.
For the purposes of these Rules, “immediate family” includes a spouse, father, mother, children, brothers and sisters.
4. Participating Retailers
The Contest is offered through a maximum of fifty-nine (59) participating retailers, the complete list of which is available at https://groupepronature.ca/pages/concours-contest. Each retailer constitutes a separate pool for the finalist draw.
An entry is assigned to only one retailer: the retailer where the eligible in-store purchase was made or, for a no-purchase entry, the retailer selected in the entry request.
5. How to Enter
5.1 Entry with an in-store purchase
During the Contest Period, a member automatically receives one (1) entry for each complete $100 increment of eligible purchases, after discounts and before taxes, made from a participating retailer and associated with the member’s Pronature Account.
For example, an eligible transaction of $250 before taxes earns two (2) entries. The remaining $50 is not carried forward to another transaction.
“Eligible purchases” generally include any non-excluded purchase that, under the terms and conditions of the Pronature Rewards Program in effect at the time of purchase, qualifies for rewards. Taxes, gift cards, refunded amounts, cancelled purchases and hunting licence purchases are excluded. Any return or refund may result in the cancellation of the corresponding entries.
Each member of the Pronature Rewards Program is entitled to one (1) free entry in the Contest, in addition to any additional entries earned through eligible purchases in accordance with these Rules. To obtain this free entry, the member must, when purchasing an eligible product from a participating Pronature retailer, scan a QR code using a mobile phone. A Contest entry form will then be displayed automatically and must be completed with the member’s first name, last name, telephone number and email address.
If the member does not have a mobile phone, the member may obtain the free entry through an online form, as set out in Section 5.2.
5.2 No-purchase entry
No purchase is necessary. To obtain a no-purchase entry, an eligible person must, during the Contest Period:
-
be a member of the Pronature Rewards Program or join it free of charge;
-
submit a request using the Pronature Rewards Program online form available at https://groupepronature.ca/pages/concours-contest;
-
provide their first name, last name, email address, telephone number and the participating retailer to which the entry is to be assigned; and
-
provide an original answer to the following question: “Why would you like to participate in a safari in South Africa?”
Each valid and original request earns one (1) entry in the pool of the selected retailer. A participant may submit only one (1) free-entry request during the entire Contest Period. Automated, mass-produced, duplicate or substantially similar requests are void.
5.3 Rules applicable to all entries
· Only one person and one Pronature Account may be associated with an entry.
· Incomplete, late, fraudulent, illegible or non-compliant entries are void.
· In the event of a discrepancy, Pronature’s records, subject to demonstrated error, will determine the number and allocation of entries.
· Pronature may verify identity, eligibility, transactions and no-purchase requests.
6. Finalist Draws
On November 24, 2026, Pronature will conduct a random draw for each participating retailer from among all eligible entries assigned to that retailer. One (1) potential finalist will be selected per pool, for a maximum of fifty-nine (59) finalists.
If a pool contains no eligible entries, no finalist will be selected for that retailer. If the same person is selected in more than one pool, that person may occupy only one finalist position; the first selection, according to the documented order of the draws, will be retained, and a new draw will be conducted for any other affected pool.
Pronature will notify each potential finalist by email and telephone on November 24, 2026, and will make at least two (2) attempts to contact them. The potential finalist must confirm their eligibility and return any requested form no later than December 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Failing this, an alternate finalist, either previously selected or randomly drawn from the same pool, may be contacted and must comply with the deadline specified by Pronature, which will be no later than December 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
The names and cities of residence of the finalists may be announced on Pronature’s website, Facebook and Instagram accounts and in its newsletter beginning November 27, 2026, subject to verification and authorization. Finalist status is not a prize and does not guarantee winning the grand prize.
7. Grand Prize Draw and Odds of Winning
On December 3, 2026, in Québec City, Pronature will conduct a random draw from among all confirmed finalists to select one (1) potential grand prize winner.
For each retailer, the odds of becoming a finalist depend on the number of eligible entries assigned to that retailer and the number of entries held by the participant in that pool. A confirmed finalist’s conditional odds of winning the grand prize are one (1) in the total number of confirmed finalists. If fifty-nine (59) finalists are confirmed, the odds are 1 in 59.
8. Grand Prize
There is one (1) grand prize available to be won: a trip for two (2) people to South Africa with Peter MacLeod, including:
· round-trip economy-class air transportation for the winner and one guest, departing from Montréal on May 3, 2027, to the airport designated by Pronature, with the return to Montréal scheduled for May 14, 2027;
· round-trip transfers between the designated airport and Majeje Africa Safaris;
· a nine (9)-day, eight (8)-night stay, based on double occupancy, at Majeje Africa Safaris, from May 5 to 13, 2027;
· meals, snacks, beer and wine served as part of the package, subject to applicable laws and policies;
· the services of a guide during the stay and the daily activities included in the itinerary; and
· the choice, when accepting the prize and subject to eligibility and availability, between one of the following two options:
· Hunting option: a hunting safari for two (2) people, including the package fees for four (4) animals. Total approximate value of the prize: CAD $13,170.
· Photo option: a photographic safari for two (2) people. Total approximate value of the prize: CAD $15,200.
The complete trip is scheduled for May 3 to 14, 2027. Dates, schedules, carriers, connections, accommodations and activities will be determined by Pronature and its suppliers. The actual value may vary depending on rates, availability and exchange rates; no difference between the approximate value and the actual value will be paid.
9. Prize-Related Conditions and Expenses
The winner and their guest must:
· travel together, on the same itinerary and on the specified dates;
· be of the age of majority and legally entitled to leave Canada, enter South Africa and return to Canada;
· obtain and maintain, at their own expense, all required passports, visas, authorizations, permits, proof of vaccination and other documents;
· carry adequate travel and medical insurance for the destination, dates and selected activities; and
· comply with all laws, safety rules, guide instructions and the terms and conditions of carriers, accommodation providers and suppliers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following are not included:
· transportation from the winner’s or guest’s home to Montréal and the return trip;
· insurance, passport fees, visas, health requirements, baggage fees, gratuities and personal expenses;
· firearm rental, ammunition, equipment rental and additional activities;
· additional park fees, taxidermy, preparation, packaging, shipping, export or import of trophies, and any permit or fee not expressly included in the hunting option; and
· any other cost not expressly stated as included.
The prize may be awarded only to a winner and guest who hold all required, valid and duly issued travel documents. If these documents are not obtained within the time required for travel, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize, which will then be declared forfeited without compensation.
For the hunting option, the harvesting of any animal is not guaranteed. The winner and guest must meet the supplier’s legal and safety requirements. If they cannot or do not wish to legally participate in the hunting option, they may select the photo option, subject to availability.
The prize must be accepted as awarded. It is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and has no cash value. Any unused portion is forfeited without compensation.
10. Winner Confirmation
To be declared the winner and as a condition precedent to booking, ticket issuance and prize delivery, the selected participant must, within five (5) business days following the notice sent by Pronature:
· correctly answer, without assistance and within the prescribed time, a multi-step mathematical skill-testing question;
· confirm their eligibility, the accuracy of the information provided and compliance with these Rules;
· confirm their availability for the fixed travel dates; confirm that they hold, or can obtain before departure, a passport whose validity satisfies the applicable requirements of South Africa, any transit country and the carriers involved, both during and beyond the travel dates, as well as any visa or electronic travel authorization required based on their citizenship; and select either the hunting option or the photo option;
· designate an eligible guest who is of the age of majority and meets the applicable travel requirements;
· sign and return a declaration/assumption of risk/release of liability and all documents required for booking; and
· have both the winner and guest sign and return the separate documents required by Pronature or the prize suppliers, including, in addition to the release of liability, an authorization under which the winner and guest consent: (i) to Pronature or its authorized representatives taking photographs and making video or audio recordings in connection with the trip, including during the winner announcement, departure and organized activities at the destination; (ii) to participating in reasonable advertising and promotional activities related to the Contest, which may include an interview before or after the trip and a photo, video or audio session; and (iii) to Pronature using their names, cities and provinces of residence, images, likenesses, voices, statements, and the photographs and recordings made pursuant to this Section or Section 13, for advertising and promotional purposes related to the Contest, in any media, worldwide and without additional compensation.
If the selected participant cannot be reached, answers the skill-testing question incorrectly, fails to return the required documents within the prescribed time, refuses or is unable to accept the prize, or violates these Rules, they will be disqualified and another potential winner may be randomly selected from among the remaining confirmed finalists.
11. Declaration, Assumption of Risk and Release
Before any booking or ticket issuance, the potential winner and guest must sign any documents reasonably required by Pronature. These documents will confirm, among other things, their eligibility, acceptance of the prize as awarded, acceptance of the risks normally associated with travel and the selected activities, their responsibility for obtaining the necessary documents, permits, insurance and authorizations, and the release provided for in this Section. Failure by the potential winner or guest to sign and return these documents within the prescribed time may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of another potential winner.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pronature and all of its respective retailers, shareholders, directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, members, sponsors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, delay or expense arising from:
· any visa or entry refusal, or any issue relating to the passport, immigration status or travel documents of the winner or guest;
· the acts or omissions of any carrier, accommodation provider, guide, travel supplier or other independent third-party supplier;
· the cancellation, postponement or modification of any flight, itinerary, activity or other component of the prize, including the scheduled departure from and return to Montréal;
· weather conditions, a health situation, a government decision, denial of entry, insufficient travel documentation or any other circumstance beyond their reasonable control, including force majeure, war, political conflict, pandemic, epidemic, lockdown or quarantine;
· failure by the winner or guest to comply with laws, safety rules, guide instructions or supplier terms and conditions;
· expenses not expressly included in the prize; or
· the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
The winner and guest agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pronature and all of its respective retailers, shareholders, directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, members, sponsors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from and against any claims, losses, damages, fines, costs and reasonable expenses arising from their own fault, unlawful or reckless conduct, breach of these Rules or supplier terms and conditions, or damage they cause to any person or property.
The travel supplier, Majeje Africa Safaris, airlines, accommodation providers, insurers, and transfer, activity and experience suppliers are independent third-party suppliers. Pronature does not act as the agent of these suppliers and, to the extent permitted by law, shall not be held liable for their acts or omissions, including delays, cancellations, overbookings, schedule changes, service interruptions, the quality of their services or their insolvency, or for any resulting loss, damage or expense.
The winner and guest acknowledge that travel and certain activities involve inherent risks. They agree to comply with the applicable terms, policies and safety instructions of each supplier.
12. Allocation of Responsibilities Between Pronature and the Travel Supplier
For greater certainty, it is expressly understood that Pronature is responsible only for funding the prize components expressly described in these Rules, up to the maximum value indicated herein, in accordance with Section 8. Pronature does not act as a travel agency, tour operator, carrier, insurer or travel service provider. As Pronature acts solely as the prize sponsor, its liability is strictly limited to the value of the prize.
The travel supplier, Majeje Africa Safaris, is responsible for travel planning, coordination and logistical support. In this capacity, it coordinates, among other things, accommodations, destination transfers, customized experiences and flights. It also acts as the winner’s primary point of contact with respect to bookings, travel preparation, arrival at the destination and reasonable requests made during the stay.
Flights, accommodations, transfers, experiences and activities are provided by independent third-party suppliers in accordance with their own terms, policies and availability.
The travel supplier coordinates bookings within the budget applicable to the prize and submits to Pronature, directly or through the relevant suppliers, invoices for the components expressly covered. Pronature will pay these costs up to the maximum value of the prize.
The winner and guest remain responsible for all fees, services, upgrades, changes and expenses not expressly stated as included in the prize, including those listed in Section 8.
13. Contest Photographs, Videos and Publicity
The trip includes a promotional component with Peter MacLeod. By accepting the prize, the winner and guest agree to make themselves reasonably available during the trip for a limited number of Contest-related photo and video sessions, planned so as not to unreasonably interfere with the trip.
The winner and guest grant Pronature a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, publish, communicate to the public, display and adapt any photographic, video or audio content created in connection with the Contest or the trip, as well as any content the winner or guest voluntarily chooses to submit. This licence also includes the right to use the names of the winner and guest, their cities and provinces of residence, images, voices and statements, solely to announce the winner and guest, report on the Contest and promote it in any physical or digital format or medium now known or later developed, including Pronature’s websites, social media, newsletters and advertising materials. Pronature may make any changes reasonably necessary to present the content, including cropping, editing, subtitling, translation and adaptation to different formats, without distorting its meaning. Pronature may sublicense these rights to its agencies, suppliers and campaign partners, but only to the extent necessary for these uses. The licence is granted without additional compensation for a period of two (2) years following the end of the trip. The winner and guest represent that they hold the necessary rights to any content they voluntarily provide to Pronature, that such content does not infringe the rights of any third party and that they have obtained the consent of every identifiable person appearing in it, to the extent such consent is required.
14. Personal Information
Pronature or its retailers collect and use the personal information necessary to record and verify entries, administer the draws, communicate with selected participants, announce the finalists and winner with their authorization, prevent fraud and arrange the prize.
To the extent necessary, this information may be disclosed to the relevant retailers, the Contest administrator, the travel supplier, Majeje Africa Safaris, and other suppliers, including outside Québec and Canada, to arrange the trip. It will be protected, retained and destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable laws and Pronature’s Privacy Policy, with the necessary adaptations. It is understood that, solely to the extent necessary to plan and book the trip, the travel supplier may collect certain personal information and documents from the winner and guest, including their contact information, passport information and any other information required to arrange the trip.
Pronature’s Privacy Policy and the contact information for its Privacy Officer are available at https://groupepronature.ca/pages/politique-de-confidentialite-privacy-policy-chez-pronature. Commercial communications are optional and subject to separate consent; consent to such communications is not a condition of entry.
A participant may exercise their rights of access and rectification and may withdraw optional consent. However, withdrawing consent required to administer the Contest before the process is complete may prevent Pronature from maintaining or verifying the entry.
15. General Conditions
· Any attempt to defraud, manipulate or automate entries, or to interfere with the operation of the Contest, may result in disqualification.
· Pronature will not award more prizes or confirm more finalists than the numbers specified in these Rules.
· Pronature may correct an administrative or technical error, or suspend, modify or cancel the Contest if fraud, a failure, an event of force majeure or a circumstance beyond its control compromises the integrity of the Contest or makes it impossible to provide the prize.
· Where reasonably possible, any unavailable prize component will be replaced with an item of approximately equal or greater value.
· The travel supplier, carriers, accommodation providers, guides and other suppliers are independent third parties. The liability of the various parties is governed, in particular, by Sections 11 and 12 of these Rules.
· Pronature’s decisions concerning the administration of the Contest are final, subject to applicable laws.
16. Social Media
The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform. Each participant releases these platforms from any liability related to the Contest, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Governing Law and Availability of the Rules
These Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Rules is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Québec.
The complete Rules, the list of participating retailers and any permitted updates are available at https://groupepronature.ca/pages/concours-contest during the Contest Period and for a reasonable period after the winner is confirmed.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the French version of these Rules and any statement or other representation contained in Contest-related materials, including the entry form, website, English version of these Rules, point-of-sale advertising materials and any television, print or online advertising, the provisions of the French version of these Rules shall prevail, to the extent permitted by law.
