Quebec Outfitters
Outfitters have been present in Québec for nearly a century, and the first known association of outfitters was the Québec Outfitters Association, created in December 1948. In the years that followed, the organization underwent several name changes before becoming, in December 2002, the Québec Outfitters Federation Inc. (QOF). This change was made in order, among other things, to help Québec, Canadian, and international clients better understand the meaning of the term pourvoirie.
For more than 50 years, women and men working as outfitters have joined forces to bring them together, ensuring better representation for the sector and offering products and services that meet the expectations of all types of clientele.
Today, the QOF—a non-profit organization recognized by the Québec government—brings together more than 330 outfitters united by a deep connection to Québec’s natural landscapes and a shared desire to showcase and protect them, all while ensuring public access.
This vast tourism network provides Québec’s most extensive selection of quality accommodations and services, whether for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, families seeking nature-focused vacations, or outdoor lovers looking to enjoy their favorite activities in any region of Québec.
