Step 1: Make sure the ice cover on the water is thick enough to move around. Be careful and make sure to check the ice conditions! You can then find a suitable spot and drill a hole in the ice. This can be done with a hand auger, gas or even an electric auger.
Step 2: You will need a rod and reel and a line adapted for cold water (braided). You can also use the good old method of the brimbal. You will need line for the troll.
Step 3: Don't forget to bring your ice skimmer to remove the ice, it's essential! And don't forget your lures and baits!
